If you have any feelings of anxiety about the therapy then please tell me at or before the first meeting.
I will help you to relax with breathing techniques before any hands on treatment is conducted.

As with many treatments affecting the soft tissue, there are times when soft tissue therapy can cause some discomfort but it is not harmful.

Discomfort usually diminishes and no technique of this nature is used without the soft tissue therapist first discussing it with you and obtaining your permission.

A comfort scale will be established and the therapist will work to your tolerance level. You can stop or change the treatment at any time and I will modify my techniques to meet your needs.

A recommendation may be suggested depending on your body’s individual needs and activity levels. This can be discussed with you during the treatment.

It is effective in relieving or treating a wide range of conditions and ailments, such as, but not limited to:

  • Neck Pain
  • Back Pain
  • Tension Headache
  • Jaw Pain
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Arthritis
  • Sciatica
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Muscular Spasms
  • Muscle Cramps
  • DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness)
  • Relaxation
  • Anxiety and Stress

You should feel relief after the first treatment.

Some may feel soreness for up to 2 days following a treatment as the body needs time to adjust. This is a very normal response and is expected to subside.

However, as many issues are the result of years of habitual behaviours/actions, a course of treatments may be needed to achieve longer, lasting success.

Guidance will also be given regarding posture, therapeutic stretches and other lifestyle aspects to assist in sorting out the problem.

If you have been given exercises as part of your recovery, it is vital to finish all stages of the programme even when the pain has gone.
